Postpartum Doula Services in Greater Vancouver
Postpartum is such a beautiful and tender time. In the midst of sleepless nights, figuring out newborn care and feeding, hormonal fluctuations, healing from birth, figuring out who you are as a parent, and bonding as a family, it can bring some ease and relief to have support from a grounded presence. That’s where I come in.

I am a postpartum doula. I am here to offer presence and hold space with any big feelings arising, refer you to community resources if needed, do light tasks around the house, make a meal for you, make sure you’re hydrated, help you with postpartum healing, and support you with smoothing out infant care and feeding. I can take care of your baby for you so you can catch up on sleep, get stuff done, have quality time with your partner, or have some self care.
Standard Postpartum Doula Services
My rates are as follows:
Daytime: $40 per hour (4 hour minimum)
Overnight: $45 per hour (6-8 hours)
Additional travel fees apply for further distance outside of the city of Vancouver.
Day shifts can involve light help around the house, meal prep, support for the parents, referrals and information, and assistance with feeding and infant care. Night shifts are focused on getting you as much sleep as possible and are typically from 10pm-6am.

For more comprehensive postpartum doula care (with herbs, bodywork, and meals rooted in Asian postpartum practices), read about the Tending the Hearth package below. Both types of services can be combined if desired.
Tending the Hearth
Holistic postpartum care for the golden month rooted in traditional practices.
Package starting at $1,800 within Vancouver (additional fees for further distance or to extend the contract).
4 in-home visits (3 hours long) during the initial 4-6 weeks after birth
Each visit includes herbs and body care + dropping off meals

Each visit will contain folk practices to tend to your body, dropping off nourishing meals and sweets/baked treats, herbs for postpartum healing, infant care Q&A, light tidying of your home, and time to debrief and integrate your birth and early postpartum experience. I have a responsive and attuned approach where I move with the pace that works for you and your unique needs that are emerging.

This package is an adapted version of the month of confinement in TCM. Read more about mother roasting, a traditional cross cultural postpartum practice.
My approach follows traditional Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican medicine principles. I blend the herbs with intention for your unique needs. My body work is informed by my somatic training and my teachers from different cultures. We will move at a pace that you are ready for, gently bringing containment to the mind, body, and spirit. I will cook you warming and fortifying meals to support your postpartum healing and lactation. I will refer you to community resources if needed. And I will be a listening ear and a witness during this tender time.
